I can guarantee you that is going to happen. I can also tell you that the TM library and the myriad number of posts here will have the solution. I think.:-?
I think I started on the prevention stage from early on. I got all the spin on filter kits from JT and have been very satisfied with their performance.
Not living in a cold climate, semi arid, means I do not have to worry about heating the engine oil in winter. So, the jatonka spin on oil...
OK, I put in cheap Orielly stuff. As I drained the engine of the old stuff, it went into a bucket or so, I noticed that the sludge formerly found in the bottom was not there.
I want to thank ODIron for their coolant filter kit. I think it did the trick. Thanks guys.
I used to be the same way! It happens to others. But, of late, I have become convinced that anything goes wrong, I can fix.
Bjorn is wonderful on electronics. Others have had the same problems I have. This is a great site. We need to support it.
Thanks guys, for everything.
I first got a deuce in late 2006 and joined here in January 2007.
I started slowly, learning and replacing parts. cranetruck was a huge help with the mysteries of electric failures and cures.
When lights did not work, I learned about grounds. When brakes needed checking, I learned how.
So...
I made an additional 14 plates last Summer and delivered all of them to members here.
I may make an additional run next Summer, but I have not decided to do so for certain.
My Canadian wife insisted I put the cargo cover back on the M35 today before it gets too cold here.
Currently it is 63. I did not have the heart to show her the winter front on your truck.:-D
A week ago or so, the crepe myrtles were blooming. Hope this helps you get through the winter.
The electricity is looking for the nearest ground to go through. It does really weird stuff on the deuce. This is the kind of thing to make you crazy.
My advice: Check every ground and clean them. I have been driven insane with this stuff before. I am writing this from the ward room at the...
I got the new axle vents from M38a1 parts and I have replaced most of them on both trucks so far.
The older deuce, to me anyway, needed them really bad. Good idea for maintenance. Thanks.
You either have a short in the wires or dirty grounds. I replaced all the grounds on all the lights on one deuce. It did not clear up until the very last bolt and washer were installed.
New bolts, new inside/outside star washers and some work solve most of the grounding problems.
I used to maintain kind of that schedule myself. Then one day, unexpectedly, the peddle went to the floor while driving. I had a leaking wheel cylinder that used the last of the MC fluid on the drive. Now, unless there is a sudden and complete failure, I know there is brake fluid in the MC...
