No Pressure.:) You have the press and everyone else sitting there watching you tying to link up. Naval Aviators have real skill, one example, look at the difference between the Air Force and Navy and Marine Air when it comes to aerial refueling.
Looks like it was a fun trip. wish my 1009 could go that far. I live just a little north of SLC and have done that eastbound I80 drive quite a few times. I haven't done it in my m1009 though. Even if i got it running, i bet it would break down going before i get to WY. Thanks for the pics.
My truck wouldn't start a few weeks ago so i checked my GPs, only four where working. Luckily I was able to remove them easily but I need to get new GPs in a hurry (getting out of utah for the weekend, yay Nevada). I just bought 60Gs at Checker since i could get them right away. i just cut off...
Look up "Attu Warrior" out of Heber Airport here in Utah. A guy has a flying pv-2. I can't remember his name. It is in great shape, I have sat in it on the ground. It is now for sale here

I don't know if the owner has more parts or knows where to get them.

So would a set of one of these work in a stock 1009?

Is there a thread on here about bypassing the relay? Is that even an option?
I have this same problem. I have read all of these posts over and over and can't figure out that bypass you guys are talking about on the diamond shaped relay. Anybody able to get some pics? I am still going to get a new GP relay and GPs to see if that will fix my problem, it seemed to fix...
I don't know much about electrical systems. Can I run both my constant and ignition power cables to the battery with an inline fuse? Then run the ignition line through a toggle switch on the dash so that i can listen to the radio with out having the key in the ignition? Does any of that make...
I am new to the site and new to military vehicles. I live a few minutes north of Salt Lake City. About a week ago I found an 85 m1009 for sale and bought it. I'm glad to see there is a large community that knows a lot about these vehicles. I have a lot of questions and it looks like I can get...
