I am not sure what you mean because i have a lock switch on my 916 there is no clutches I am not sure why you say not true, not true to what i have read in my owners manual Or i do not have a lock that i move up and down when i want for 6 wheel drive? Without explaining more on what you said...
And it says the axle all get locked, but that could be crappy, but i have also read that its like a Detroit locker kinda that allows slip when turning but once strait lock up again. That is what attracted me to this truck the ability to lock and unlock not be a automatic like some.

My m916 has a switch on the dash that locks all the axles. It is air operated and the owners manual says it locks up the front and both diffs in back, i have not driven it yet in mud or snow because i only had it now for 3 weeks, but i am interested to see how it does this winter and...
drum
That lip on my drum is only about 1/4 high to start with. How high was yours before you had ground it ? I took alittle off but had no luck yet, but I did not grind much for the valve stem.
