I agree about reasons for not comparing , and it is apples to oranges as far as my opinion goes. , I do know Unimog guys are well, freaks for there trucks, and that's cool, But an outside point of view and having 4 wheeled with some and other info, I am not the Unimog fan. There are exact...
Just an fyi, We do start early , we have a work day Thursday, anyone who wants to be part of the action is welcome to come from then on, ( yes you can camp from then on, actually from Wednesday on !!! )) FRIDAY !! Has grown into a very whos who of the Hobby. Its vendor set up day and Display set...
This was a problem that was caused by thousands of drivers driving without proper instruction to the TACTICAL vehicle they were driving, and was all but gone when driving techinics changed, mostly do not use low in reverse, Why, in my OPINION it is a way to keep inexperienced and experienced...
Search the thread function, all has been discussed in length a ton of times. No matter how much some one says its ok to do and are tired of those who say otherwise, facts are facts, you are changing the truck in a way the manufacturer would not have, With the exception of the very intelligent...
madddog308 is correct. You can speculate as much as you want, even today the amount of vehicles brought back and forth and the amount left are staggering. Many units keep there vehicles, even then. Many do not, even then. For every article of an expert who knows all, and show a pic of a few...
It looks like you pulled it deeper into the mud wall with the winch cable out in front , I do not know if you tried it the way it went in, but that would sure have been a ton easier and less broken parts. But very cool shots :) Always glad to see trucks get stuck and no wimping out :):):)
the large batts need a charge rate of 13.6 at least to bring them up. especially true on hawkers. A maintainer desulphater after bringing them up for a few days will do the most repair you can get. Smart chargers are important becuae they have different levels of charge for the batts needs...
Second hand info to boot, Are you just telling people you know someone who has a Tank ? Or have you been asked to get a quote to move it. Now just sayin, But it seems you still don't have any info, Half way across the country tells us nothing again. So my question is if you have been asked to...
LOL :) An over inflated tire bounces more ") max tire pressure is stated on tire, and for a max load. factory settings are the best for most uses. Tire professionals at tire stores will never understand what those of us who run different tire pressures want and need . Sometimes I forget but...
Check out mtaofnj.org mtaswapmeet.com the MTA in Northern NJ is a center point for some amazing shows, Red Ball in Sept, and Aberdeen in the Summer, But the MTA swap meet is up and ready to go for April 26 and 27 2014, We always sign the contract within a few weeks after each show, This show...
Far from junk as so correctly said above , They work well, these trucks are old and very few know how to drive them. The less one knows about them the more you hear they don't work. Yes the air shift is an upgrade. Yes the sprags served well for many many years. It reminds me of the posts "...
Yes. used batts are not worth much at all, No one knows whether they were kept fully charged or left to sit and sulphate, severely shortening there life, the hawker batts are only stated by the manufacturer for a 3 year life, We all know they will go longer, but used batts are a crap shoot even...
Good response from the answers Ryanga9 :) Its more fun when asking a nube question when the guy has some balls to handle some fun from those who have been doing it for awhile, we all got it, and we all as humans like to share that ribbing when the time comes to someone else , :) I always say if...
In Northern NJ the heater works just fine for me ,Even my girl thinks it is good enough :) But really I never felt a deuce needed one , and I mean at zero the cab has enough engine heat for driving, but that's me...
OK I just read you are running thru water so you want to run em maxed out ? do you expect to float across :) Sorry that's funny hope you can take it :)
