Why is it every time someone mentions dump trailer on this site everyone goes off on the same tangent about it not supposed to dump? I know this. I also don't care.
My end goal is those rims (available in other widths as well) with a 33" tire on it to match the tow vehicle. Different lug patterns but aesthetically will be great. I could also settle for 32" tires as well if the 33s are going to be to tall. The last thing I want is tires limiting my load...
How can I figure out if 285-75-16s will fit my trailer without rubbing anything or sticking out?
They will be on this rim as well: Pro Comp Alloys Series 7089 Flat Black Wheel (16x8"/8x6.5") by Pro Comp Alloys http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TUTE06/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_J9titb04TMEPV
I have a tough...
I literally just wired up my 4 pin yesterday afternoon. I have a M101A2 but it should all be similar if not the same. (This is all new to me so someone who knows more can confirm or deny this.)
I searched around on here and found the 3 wires it needed to tap into via female bullet connectors...
Ive been reading the TM on my M101A2 and found that I am missing the breakaway lever for the surge breaks. Ebay came up empty. Whats involved with replacing this? The TM had nothing to say about it.
Thanks.
So I figure it'll be easier and probably safer to just use new brake line and not have to flare anything myself. I'll be crawling underneath to see how hard it is to remove the old line.
Finally crawled under the trailer to check out the brake line. It's completely bent where the trailer flexes during a dumping. Ill have to cut the line a little ways after the pinch and reflare it (that'll be a first for me) and then add a 12-14" flexible line in.
So much for an easy fix.
I wish these things were bolt on. Unable to weld means I have to wait til mine break then find someone with the skill and brain power to fab something up.
I did quite a bit of hunting around before I posted this thread. In my search I found someone who did what I'm trying to do. Apparently there's a coupling right at the pivot point for the brake line. All they did was unscrew the coupling, and add a 6" loop of flexible brake 'hose' with fittings...
