This could be a lot of things. I agree with what has been suggested before but here are a few more things to ponder;
The simple answer is there could be a problem with the controller. I say this because I have seen this very thing in repairing controllers, and the problem was a resistor that...
UncleSam, just so you know, I am really questioning that relay . I bought a few of these as well, and had them sitting around on the shelf for a few weeks and got around tonight to finally doing a bunch of testing.
The energizing coils are extremely heavy (fewer wires, larger gauge). This makes...
It will work as it is, however, by having the Jumper wire from the top post to the next one down, you have the ability to glow the plugs without the key being on, it will have power to it all of the time( least safe ).
By reconnecting the pink/black wire, you will only be able to glow the plugs...
The way I am understanding #19 is that it is incorrect, but I might be reading it wrong. Voltage and amperage are inversely proportional. Double one will half the other. Most people know that they are inverse, but don’t forget, they are proportional. Wattage will remain the same. ( ExI ).
The...
Mistaken has it perfect!
I remember complimenting him on breaking this down in another thread. But here he has out done himself.
This is exactly correct, I am working up a graphic to illustrate, but I do have one question Dog, you said the resistance was .28 ohms, (each) is that the resistance...
Agree with Warthog, Mistaken and antennaclimber. It appears from your description that the controller is doing what it is supposed to do. If a glow plug is failing, the voltage is higher on the rest of the plugs. The controller senses this and begins cycling the relay on and off in an attempt to...
Wow Bill, that is exactly what I was thinking, with the added ability of stowing it on the back of the ladder so I can carry it in the rack on the back. Love the pins and the holders.
So ¾ conduit works OK… I think I will try that route first then.
Thank you guys.
No that is perfect. I can see exactly what I wanted. Thank you for going to the trouble.
What I have in mind is to fab up the rail so that it stows just like pic #4 out of some steel pipe maybe ¾” and a 90 and a couple of 45’s, then to mount it, using a larger pipe to slip the other into, cut...
Thanks…
I think I see a strap on the bottom, is that how it is attached? ( looking to possibly fab up a rail something like this but want to stow it on the rack on the back of the M109)
