How do you tightrn the rear axle nuts when replacing axle seal on a duece with out the spanner socket correctly or close to the proper torque.

Does anybody know what the max exhaust temp should be driving down highway at top speed with no load on my Duece ?? What is the max RPM also. I try to keep it around 2200 max at cruise and maybe 2300 when going though gears.
