Oil filter is tapped off the rear side of the block on driver side and drains into the pan.
The tranny filter obviously taps in before and after the cooler (which I suppose actually lessens the effect of the cooler).
Also, in the first picture, what is that thing that looks like a pop-off...
I think I found the losing prime issue. A few pumps of the primer button and fuel was pouring down from the seal of the fuel filter. Started to tighten it and it sounded gritty so I'm off to find an FF834 fuel filter.
No worries, as long as everyone can take it as well as they can dish it out here we will all be just fine.
Now back to the original station programming... How often are you guys draining the water separator? Certainly not on every use like the TM said.
Ran down to Ft Bragg today to pick up a GL lot (or 3) and found it hovering exactly at 160. I appreciate you corroborating the temp. I was seriously thinking the gauge was broken!

Thanks for the tips guys. TM says to purge the fuel/water separator each day which I missed previously. (I need a nice easy chair with no interruptions to read that thing cover to cover!) Might be part of one of the issues. Does everyone actually do that every use? I do it on my daily...
