Changing settings would not be my first choice.....eliminating 2 cycle oil first, as previously suggested, would isolate that variable before touching the pump. I would second the motion on Cucvrus' knowledge....he knows his stuff.
No....the gear retracts when solenoid is not energized. Regardless, you shouldn't have broke the nose.
Do you know how long this starter was on the truck? You might need to shim the starter under mounting holes to achieve right starter gear to ring gear spacing.
Took the team's advice and picked up the autozone unit.....now a different issue.
Swapped it out and didn't realize I needed to add a ground. Started truck up, turned on wipers and had various dash lights go on that should not have (high beam and glow plug). Removed all 3 connectors from...
Picked up a new-to-me cucv, and wipers don't work. Checked fuse (good), then took motor off to see if it was "free".....should the arm on the motor be capable of being rotated? If not, any way to confirm if it is bad?

I've found both DMV and state patrol inconsistent, however, the trend is you need to buy a $27.50 form 551, have state patrol document serial number on form, and provide title.

Cut out my own gasket and replaced blown gasket, and generated plenty of air. Unfortunately, my gasket material didn't hold, so purchased a rebuild kit and will replace gasket, o-rings, springs, etc. and when it arrives.

Okay....worked on the truck some more today....replaced governor and same issue. Loosened bolts on top of compressor and gasket shot. Worked on removing back two bolts (closest to block) and couldn't pull them out due to injection pump.
do I need to remove entire compressor...or is there a...
I've got an M923 with a scorpion stenciled on fuel tank and passenger side tool box door.....probably about 1 foot long by 9 inches wide....I will add a photo later, but any idea what it designates?
