Well I messed with her a little bit today. I noticed that I have 24 volts going to the glow plugs. I traced back and it appears that the resistors have 24 volts on both sides. What are the chances that the glow plugs are bad now due to the 24 volts going to them?
Wow dude......you are impressive. Your wealth of knowledge is very impressive. Idk what you do for a living but you probably should be paid alot more. Thank you once again
Here's a pic of the MWO tag. I took a break from it today. My new scatblast sand blast cabinet came in so I've been putting it together and splitting firewood.
I'm gonna check with a friend of mine for a new IP cover first . If that fails I will order from hillbilly wizard. I really don't want to modify the electrical. Thank you again for the help
Well I got the doghead relay installed today. Motor spins over now. However I pulled the cover off the injection pump and just as you had mention the back screw was most definitely broken off. Spent a couple hours trying to get it out . Looks like I'm gonna have to drill it out.
As far as the...
I see you live in Schertz. I use to pass through there all the time heading to deer lease. What in the world did you do to yourself? I've had a few bad accidents myself and have been through 3 different spine surgeries. I know it's no fun. It will get better though.
Where did you learn so...
Thank you for all the great info. I have to work all day tomorrow. I will get back at it Tuesday. In the mean time I will just buy the Napa doghead relay and get it installed Tuesday as well.
Well I found the factory relay. However the whole harness was disconnected from it and cut off even with the other harness. Looks like I will be buying the doghead relay. I bought this truck directly from the military base in Fort Hood Texas. The body is in excellent shape with the exception of...
First off thank you. I think you must be the 6.2 wizard. I'm clueless with these. You are correct the injection pump is DB-2829-4520. Both the pink wire and green wire have 12 volts when the key is on. As far as the starter I have 25 volts on main lug and nothing when the key is turned.
Thanks for all the replies. Keith I'm in Hitchcock, TX and welcome any help offered. The truck came from Fort Hood about 6 years ago. It's been stored inside the whole time I've had it. Clearly I know very little about Diesels or this truck. Today I will go back and go over and respond to all...
Well I got all the alternators and batteries installed. Also figured out that the 12 volt main lead was missing and installed it. Power comes to ignition switch now. However all I get when attempting to start it is the glow plug clicking. It won't crank. The starter does nothing. Any ideas?
