you need to drill bolt all the way through and careful not to drill into the block. use PB Blaster on bolt to soak from backside, then easyout. if this doesn't work you'll have to heat the block with acetaline torch then easyout. Propane torch will not heat it enough. Don't break the easyout or...
2011 sept 30 weekend currahee military weekend, toccoa Ga. northeast ga. Go to stevens county chamber of commerce for times and info. I can't get the link to post. It's alot of fun and I should be going. Lots of cool stuff to see.
Welcome from NGA , The flexable rubber lines at the wheels may be restricted. Get the condition of overheating at drums happening, jack front wheel off the ground and try to turn it , if it doesn't spin loosen the wheel cylinder bleeder screw. if it now spins the line is bad, if not the wheel...
Good job on the truck. Our dept. was pretty poor in the 90's, funded by the county. Now we get funding from the insurance fund , doubled our budget , replaced three tankers, 2 1500gal ,1 3k gal {ours] 3 rescues- used. commissioners are hard to deal with. good luck.
Sometimes on a tight bolt , put some air tool in it and will give it a little boost. At the shop we use a 1 inch electric impact , it has never failed and never broken a bolt. Have used on dueces and f-600and up. Just another option.
I finished this a couple of years ago and finally decided to post it. It took about 5 years to do. The m-88 is standard to the one I crew chiefed and m-60 mostly from pics. Lots of home made accessories. Hope you enjoy.Starting a new one with a M-32 and M-4 when time permits.
I've used electrical tape in a can ,not sure of the tech. name. On wires that are skint and you can't use heat srink, it takes about 3 coats to properly seal and build -up but well worth it. It kinda like that stuff that people used to dip plier handles in, has a brush on the cap like anti-sieze.
We've used the type that comes in quarts or gallons from napa, with a cheap air spray gun . worked out pretty good. A customer of ours said he did a tractor with a garden sprayer but I don't see how with the thickness of the stuff. Farmers will tell some stories some times.
I was on a 88 but would ride in the 984 some times to recover something. They rock you to sleep on the autobahn. Congrats on a good find and best of luck in the restore. We used ours for all kinds of stuff.
Our m725 has been repoed by GEMA. They feel that the cost of maintaining the veh is too much, eventhough the FD and station bought and performed all repaires. They also got one from the HAM radio club, that was back-up for mass disasters. GEMA wants to sell both to buy something we really don't...
I had to get the class B non-comercial for the FD in 92 . It was explained to me that I could borrow my neighbors dump truck and haul a load of gravel to my road but not work for hlm hauling. Personal use only. It was paper test only.
