How do I get a 6BT Cummins started after it has been sitting for a while?

There are wires spliced into the wires coming off of it. One of them is spliced into the wire that runs to the solinoid on the IP.

Has anyone thought about converting to an electric air pump?

This is the problem with trying to adapt a deuce to civilian life. They are great hard to kill trucks as long as they are used as they are intended. However, once they retire from service they are not very good for the type of use they see in civilian life. Adapting them is a challeneg either way.

Has anyone thought about converting to an electric air pump?

Another reason I was thinking about this is becuase of the stuff I want to ad. For example I am getting a set of air ride seats for almost nothing and that are brand new. Also, it takes forever and a day to air up tire with the air system that is on there. Is there maybe a bigger mechanical pump...

One of the reasons this subject came up has to do with the air pump I am trying to rebiuld now. I had a lot of help tracking down the seal kit I needed but I am now afraid to trust this thing after getting off the phone with the company that sold me the kit. There are some things I want to...

Has anyone thought about converting to an electric air pump?

I was thinking I would have to upgrade the charging system anyway. I have other mods in mind later on that will I think over tax the existing system.

Has anyone thought about converting to an electric air pump?

A buddy of mine and I have been debating on whether or not I should scrap my mechanical air pump in favor of an electric one on my deuce. I see both pros and cons for this mod and I was wondering if anyone else here has done it. If so how do you like it? What are some of the benefits you have...

How do I get a 6BT Cummins started after it has been sitting for a while?

I agree. However, there are none that I know of in this area. Most likely this will cost well over a hundred bucks and I will have to pull it and ship it. So... I guess I need to get to work locating a good shop and work on yet another budget for what was suppose to be a quick and no expesne...

How do I get a 6BT Cummins started after it has been sitting for a while?

I have made some. I have a rough schedule so I can only work on it for short bursts several days or a week apart. I have gotten the new lfit pump installed and working. I just do nto know if the provblem is at the IP or the injectors.
