In a lot of ways I can see how that would be the better choice. But if one inverter would do it all with out having to install a third battery , wing harness, and alternator I like it better.
I have no idea where to begin with that. I do not know which AC system I am going to run nor do I know which lights I will select. Not to mention the other stuf I have to figure out.
Wow. That is a lot of information. I think I am more comfused than I was before I started this thread. I do see that there are multible pros and cons to each option. I guess the best thing to do is to start narrowing the options down by figuring out which ones have the most cons.
I do plan to...
I was htinking about the alternator idea. I can see how it would be a good thing. I can run all the stuff I want on a totally seperate wiring harness. And it it fails for what ever reason I still have the stock 24V system to get me home. All the stuff I do not need will shut down but not what I...
Thanks for the link.
I cannot say I am a fan of converting it either. But I would like to learn more before I decide against it.
Now the addition of an alternator also crossed my mind. But I was thinking it would add to the maintainence costs and work load. I am not sure if I am correct on...
I am trying to lay out my next deuce build. I am going from the ground up to make this one suitable for just about everything we do. One problem I cannot seem to get past it whether or not I should convert it to 12 volt. Originally I was just going to use an inverter to power stuff like my...
Hey man, I use to live near Macdill. I have decided to go forward with the the four wheel drive deuce. I agree with the gearing but I plan to swap transmissions instead.
I thought about running it under the truck as well. But there is no room. Unless you want it to go all the way out the back then maybe you can make it work. I wanted it to exit in front of the drives. I even thought about stacks, but again where am I going to run all the tubing?
I have been wanting to do the same thing, but I am afriad to take what little power that truck has. If there is no power loss than I want to get it done.
