Now that I have it installed, I can see why. Yeah, these things need reenforcement under them. Those little peices of angle just do not cut it.

I move heavy non running deuces right now. But we hope to move and get some property at some point. Then I will use this truck for that.

    My first Tugger mod

I completed the install Yesterday and other than having to work around a pre-existing bolt it went smooth. The only issue I will have to biuld a brace for under the bed. I figured I would have to any way, but I thought I could at least pick up some stuff I thought was light. Nope, it did not...

    My first Tugger mod

That is all I want it for. I have some running gear I have to move. Plus I have an engine to pull out of the F350 donor truck I have. I will not be picking up the fron of a truck with it, but it sure will help around the yard. That sucker is slooooooowwwwwwww. But, it will pull a house down.

    My first Tugger mod

I bought this hoist five or six years ago. I have been shuffling it around ever since. I figured it was time to get it off the shelf and installed on something. My Tugger seems like a good choice. Here are some photographs from the un-boxing, the mock up and an after wash shot. My truck was...

    My next Deuce project

The truck came with dry rotted and bold NDT's. I did some tire swapping and got these from another truck I had and installed some almost new NDT's I picked up in a trade on the thruck these came off of. I do like the drop sides. I plan to biuld ramps that will fit in the stake pockets when not...

    My next Deuce project

If we end up selling the deuce I currently have foe sale (I hope not but we need the money) I will have this one left. It is also an 87 Air Force truck with all the nice stuff that came on them in 87 for the Air Force. But it needs some work. When I got the truck it was missing a lot of parts...

I am pretty happy with my A2. I will be modding it quite a bit, but mostly minor stuff to make it more civilian friendly.

Questions about insuring a 1987 AM General (Harder to get insured)

That would be a good reason not to have one then.

Questions about insuring a 1987 AM General (Harder to get insured)

Not having a Multi fuel is the main reason I do not want one. I do like the CTIS though.

Questions about insuring a 1987 AM General (Harder to get insured)

I did not know that. I would not mind getting a hold of an A3, but they are too costly in my oppinion.

Questions about insuring a 1987 AM General (Harder to get insured)

Why did it take more than one A2 to make one A3? That is a pretty good price for full coverage. This companies that want it garaged and other stupid stuff are rediculous.

Converting a deuce to 4 wheel drive without bobbing it?

I wonder how hard it would be to locate the propper gear ratio.

Converting a deuce to 4 wheel drive without bobbing it?

**** man, that is a very good idea. I can have the higher highway gears I want and dtill have the low range for off road.

Converting a deuce to 4 wheel drive without bobbing it?

I was thinking lifting the truck would be a whole lot easier. But I am more concerned withtowing and hauling ability. How will the truck two and run in general with 53's?

Converting a deuce to 4 wheel drive without bobbing it?

That looks great man. Have you noticed any kind of fuel difference? How does it tow a trailer now compared to the stock form?
