A turbo on a 602 C.I. inline six gas motor is actually a waste of meoney, time and effort. If you just need the turbo whine, go with the diesel. To make more power out of the 602, you need to look at two areas to improve BEFORE you break open the motor, Intake and Exhaust. All a motor is, is...
The price is kinda steep for a gasser, but who knows? Do some dealing, and you may get it in the price range that makes you feel comfortable about the deal. That rear winch, I need one! They come in handy!
Hey, The brass plugs hold up and last longer to various anti-freeze chemicals, versus the common "thin-plate" ones, or zinc ones. Brass is always better. The oil leak , chances are, is covered by the compressor and filters, but your going by it the right way. Always have the head magna-fluxed...
Well, I'm definitely going! That only gives me a few weeks to get my truck painted and install the drawtight for my travel trailer, but I will be leaving Mobile, Alabama heading that way @50 mph, so if anyone wants to ride, bring your earplugs too!! Steve

It's definitely a M36, but Boyce Equipment builds them custom like this also....I like the tubing for protection! Steve
Hey everyone, Anyone here every replace sparkplugs on the r6602 gas-burner? Its my upcoming project (I don't think they have ever been changed) and I wasn't sure if their a special type, or just a everyday plug from the local autoparts store? It also appears that the plug wires are...
Thanks Dave, Now the one bolt I can pop out of the shift rail, is that a bolt on the actual shift rod, to disconnect it from the shift lever, so I can manually try to push the rod to reverse? The wierd thing is, before I bought the truck, the owner hopped up in it, threw the winch in...
Hey everyone,
I have a 1960 M-139 5-Ton "bridge Truck" with the 20,000 lb. front mounted winch.
My problem is that I can't seem to get it to grab reverse! I have had a friend slip the clutch, while I lay underneath and try to "Help" the PTO control rod go all the way into reverse...
I live in Alabama and 74' and newer must have a title, BUT! There is simple steps around here to get past it all.....were still primitive down here! Steve
