After further inspection of dropping the tranny, i have decided to pull engine and tranny as one that way i can get at the tranny for new fluid and maintenance if need be.
Would it make better since to remove the winch from the front first as to give more room? I believe my winch is shot...
Jason I appreciate it, as im still learning about this vehicle and its parts, I did see a pin but well i figured i would ask before i assumed and made an A$$ out of myself by breaking something, I have the cover off all the way to the firewall so easy access.

Okay fellas, i have everything loose to drop the tranny except one thing and im not sure if i need remove it or not but does the shift lever come off either by a pin holding it in or by another method.... Im still learning about this truck as i get deeper in grease LOL...

alrighty, as some of you know i work 12hrs night shift and also the rain has been a pain here, finally got the pto shaft removed today and the front drive shaft unbolted from the front axle, next step make sure all connections with pto gear box are apart and then proceed with tranny drop.
sounds like washing won't be that big of a deal then, can't wait to see if i can get set up like cranetruck and if washing it will take the methanol and lye residue out then I know what the Dodge Cummins will be getting during spring, summer and early fall along with the deuce.... [thumbzup]...

Sounds like we both might have a running truck before the month's end, if nothing goes haywire im going this weekend to pick one up, I haven't had a good driving vacation in some time, so be a good thing for me and the deuce.
