Gorilla glue is sooo messy, I personally would not use that stuff again, thats me, unless one is ready for the expansion and keep cleaning up around it, I am guessing it would stain around the area, but i guess that is what paint is for, the seam sealers are more made for this kinda stuff...

Actually u can find 2 for sure maybe 3 different diameter o rings for these 20 inch rims for the 5 ton, as for the Hemmitt i would not be surprised of different diameters also , depending on the manufacturer of the rim, i have put in 2 sizes of them in 5 ton rims i have worked on , And there...

Just sayin, if U pulled from the pintle U would have more pull power straight back, it had to lose some umph pulling the truck to one side on that hook up,, every little bit helps in a situation like that... getting stuck is part of the game though, and makes for good storys... :)

Actually , I think they were only surplused out after a Marine issue that traded them to a section of government or a business that was not bound by the guberment rule of no sale, , for some other stuff , and they" sold em, Like just under a 1000 units i believe. Not to sell them was a deal...

I also agree as far as a cool and awesome truck they sure are, as allot can be said about whats wrong with them, I for one see all that is right with them, they are a Jeep ! they are BEAUTIFUL !! and rugged looking all day long, and will need some upkeep , but man they are purdy :)

yea thats a good price I paid 12 bucks ea just for seals about 6 years ago, and am selling them for that now, plus 3 bucks for the paper :) and 5 bucks for the mettle thingy, and throw in the cork :)

I would use rustoleum rusty metal primer and then coat with rustoleum black top coat, it will stick better to all things that have absorbed into the metal over the years and stay alot longer without letting moisture that seeps in somewhere rust under and push the under coat off, for a new...
