The local Fire Dept runs off road in everything as part of their non-profit, tax exempt status. Probably not the way the laws are written, but a great way to reduce cost.

My truck came with a keyed in cab disconnect. I am not sure how it is wired, but will describe how it works. When the disconnect is off everything is totally dead. Once the truck is running and warm I can throw the disconnect and it will keep running. If running and still cold it will kill the...

Replaced the radiator fan clutch. The old one had 1/4" wobble.

I have a friend in the middle of taking the 3+3 cab off a dually for a short wheelbase conversion. The dually bed and running gear will be for sale, pm if interested.

My tick is play in the water pump-bearing. I am getting about 1/8-1/4" wobble of the fan. Parts shoud be here this week. The truck is now out of service until the repair is complete.

Lifetime replacememt is good, what brand was the pump you got? I just ordered an ACDelco pump, and thermostat from Rock Auto.

Good thread, hope to see pics. I was wondering how much weight you are needing to haul. My 1008 will handle a decent load before squatting the rear. Planning any power upgrades?

What TH400 characteristics do you want to improve on?

My mirror was in my glove box when purchased. After I replaced the cracked windshield I reinstalled as mentioned here.
