Make sure the hubs are engaged before selecting 4 wheel drive. Mine will not come on with the transfer case shifter engaged only. I had soft brakes due to low power steering fluid, providing low assist. Brake fluid replacement and bleeding also helped a lot.

I have a tan plate, but no numbers.

Replaced front cracked windshield, and upgraded to a sliding rear glass for the summer. Replaced a damaged rear bumper. Plugged the holes in the top of the cab from where it had a light bar in the Ga Forestry. Located the gun racks, need to install those.

I agree. Mine's been a great truck so far, but I would prefer the original paint that is now covered in white. Thanks Georgia Forestry Service! :-D Being white does help it blend in. I find people looking a little closer and longer before they realize it's a 1008.
