    Going through auction 803a

I started with a 55 gal barrel and a variety of water heater elements. It worked ok, but was a hassle to fill, to drain, and to store. Water and electricity seemed like an accident waiting to happen, so I've been looking for a smaller, safer alternative. I recently switched to a pair of 240v...

    803a water separator breakthrough!

I tried chasing down an adapter earlier this year with no luck. I believe the threads on the Wix filter is actually 1/8-27 NPS as opposed to the 1/4.

    Generator AUX fuel Tank

Nice job! That turned out great! I've been thinking about doing something similar on a trailer that my nephew and I are building. What are the dimensions of that tank?

Advice on a 50-100 gallon Auxiliary tank for MEP-802A generator

If rotating fuel is a concern, you could always try finding smaller barrels. 30 and 16 gallon drums are out there, but less common.

    mep 802a filter #'s ??

Wix 33348 canister cartridge comes with the top large diameter o-ring. The pair of small rubber washers/gaskets that go around the bolt are Wix 15398. RockAuto has those pretty reasonable.

MEP-803A Finally scored one and had a question.

A couple inches of 1/2" heater hose, a short 1/2" bolt and pair of hose clamps did the trick.

Do you remember what size heater hose & bolt you used?

    MEP803A heater

Agreed. There is a huge difference between pictures that don't match the item, and them refusing to turn over the actual item you paid for. That feels like fraud or theft. I hope they make it right for you and everyone else in this mess.

    MEP803A heater

Before bidding there are a few things I look for in pictures from GL, GP, etc.: 1) Look for a picture that shows the event & lot numbers (often the last picture) 2) Look for a picture of the data plate (includes the serial number) 3) Look for a picture of the hour meter Check any numbers in the...

Has anyone put casters on their 802 or 803?

I've also had good luck using a pair of rubber expansion joints for concrete. I put one under each skid rail. They're currently about $3 a piece at the local box store...

    Adding a 240V 30A outlet to an 802A

I see what you mean, Guyfang. The picture below shows a pair of 802's on a trailer, both of which are tied into a switch box. The 802 on the right side of the picture has the power cable coming through the cover with the hole in it like you mentioned.
