Mod to fit a turbo into a non-turbo truck without cutting the doghouse or giving the suspension a lift? On my truck we cut the interior lip of the doghouse, it doesn't show and didn't involve cutting the turbo. Still, I'm guessing that some sort of modification to improve clearance. BDGR

It does sound like the transfer case is stuck in neutral. Are you sure it is shifting? Might crawl under it and confirm the TC linkage is intact. The linkage rods are only held on with cotter pins, and they sometimes fail/fall. BDGR

Double check the linkages for the shift lever and transfer case lever, but those would not have spontaneously disconnected most likely. The parking brake on a 998 is very mousy, there's no way it would hold against power applied. It just wouldn't feel right (slowed movement, but YES movement)...

I've heard a common failure for wiper motors is the power wire getting pinched at the bottom of the windshield where the windshield folds down. If yours was folded down at some point, it could have pinched and cut that wire. Bulldogger
