Which alternator do you have? 60 amp, 100 amp or 200 amp? Different troubleshooting for each of those. The voltage regulator may be able to be adjusted. Most of the time it is replaced though, in my experience.
It sounds like you have more than one problem, though they may be interconnected...
Does sound like the glow plug controller. There are several threads on the site you can search out. The motor is common to both HMMWV and CUCV, so search both sub-forums. There are several options ahead once troubleshooting is done, involving replacing the control box or making a manual glow...
Attendance was noticeably down. Pity, as the weather was very good save Sunday night where the rain was noteworthy. Still, it was much better weather than some years, whether rain or drought and heat.
Few sales at the swap meet too. But this Rally isn't one for major swap activity...
Neat! For a while I wore antique wind up watches. Then I started carrying a phone and it has the time on it, so I stopped wearing a watch. I still have five of them, if I recall correctly. My favorite is the 1964 Movado Triple Stop Calendar, though it is original and valuable so I rarely...
Cabell, when can you post the VHF/CB Freq's and call signs for the rally? We're KJ4SET, capable range 30-79.9MHz Limited to 4W (until I get a vehicle mounted antenna, then 20W!).

Welcome! Best to start with the Technical Manuals, there is a wealth of information therein. They are dry, and at times hard to understand, based on the way they are written, but eventually with enough staring they make sense...
VHF requires a Ham Technician license at the very least.
My fiancée has hers and I plan to get mine since I went ahead and bought the radio already. Tests are given locally by enthusiasts registered w FCC

The cup holders are off Amazon, search for Amarine stainless 2-pack and you should find them. They appear durable though they don’t stay folded well (too tight or too loose).
I hope to remix mix the two items I chose Sunday eve and print overnight. I’m using this file and adding a coin holder...
Installed folding steel cup holders, cell phone mount and put some grommets into the new floor insulation to act as drains. Almost ready for the drive to Graves Mountain.
And in case I hadn’t updated on it, the 28v battery charger and power supply for the Clansman PRC352 vhf radio is mounted...
Welcome from Alexandria! I second the invitation to Graves Mountain. Come for one day or five. Great chance to meet fellow enthusiasts and lots of cool vehicles. Plenty of opportunity for rides and some might let you drive one too.

Thanks Ahab. I'm self taught. I started sewing this heavy stuff a couple years ago when I began making soft slant backs. As to the fit, I feel more than a bit lucky. I'm not always so successful. Time will tell, as the fabric may shrink and cause issues yet.
It was a royal PITA though, so I...
Made new insulation panels for the passenger side. Still have to do the driver side ones. Lots of work cutting and sewing. Not something I want to do again soon!
Made from ballistic nylon and some plastic insulation gleaned from an old swimming pool cover.

Radio mount
Mounted the Clansman PRC-352. Had to make a bracket to mount the in-vehicle carrier for the manpack. This radio isn’t the model meant for vehicle use, but I wanted to be able to carry it, so this rig seemed best. Still need to mount the power supply and convert the loudspeaker I...
The brake light on the dash or rear brake lights? It sounds like you mean the dash light. I'm only familiar with the M998, and the M1025A2 might be different but if it's the dash light it means the parking brake is engaged...
Your mention of rear brake issues makes it also sound like the...
If water pressure from the car wash will stop the fan the fan clutch is not engaging. So you have other problems. Sounds like you need to double check the plumbing of the high pressure hoses to and from the pump, fan and cadillac valve. It's a common mistake to get the hoses backwards or...
Mike (maddawg308), do you still have any of those HMMWV jacks left? Daves86 could use one. If he doesn't make Graves Mtn I can pick one up for him.
To all interested, I can bring soft slant back kits (bearing in mind I have sold near all my stock and am making more) to the Rally for the swap...
Looking good! (If I do say so myself.)
We are still in production. Cordura and Ballistic nylon are all in stock and being cut and sewn. A tan cover made of 1000D Cordura is in stock (need to make a frame for it, as that one was sold to RedDriver). 1000D Tan and OD Green cordura are in...
