There is a contractor just outside of Ft Bliss that works on them and they have piles of parts. There are hundreds of them still under uncle sugars control just up the road from there sitting in the desert but good luck on anything else about them...here's a photo...
I[ve been in your shoes before driving from Atlanta to Aberdeen show in 2010 and I barely made it into a gas station. I remember Clinto, Maddawg 308, Atankersdad (RIP), and a former member Daniel worked the phones to get me off the road. I learned a lot that day, even if it was the hard way.
My understanding there are several versions of the DVE out there and for different types of vehicles. Anybody have any experience with these things? Electronically, how are they powered and the viewer to display connected? Cable numbers? Take whatever information folks can provide.
Never attended this show but considering it this year since it's only about 2 hours from me. Thinking of bringing a pickup load of stuff to sell but the tables are somewhat expensive @ $28 a table! What's the crowd like?
I agree they'll go just about anywhere. I think I have PTHE (Post Traumatic HMMWV Experiences) of sitting hours and hours with the roof leaking water, heater not blowing enough heat, wishing I could drive cause it was a more comfortable seat with less likelihood of giving you a roid, and...
I have some pics floating around of what was there in the 90's. It can be a real fun place if you're into blowing stuff up and shooting things. I have a photo posted on here on one of my older posts of one of those M728 CEV's firing at Graf. Entire photo was taken at night with only the light...
The water cans on the side would be if you wanted to represent one of one (or a few) that did that. Anyone see what unit it is? We had only one CUCV that crossed the berm. We had been converted to HMMWVs. The CUCV didn't make it to the end. Got stuck, then jumped a dune and the frame...
It is actually the 29th Infantry Division and the 116th Infantry Regiment is part of the Virginia National Guard. They would be either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Battalion of the 116th. It's a unit with an exceptional lineage and I'm proud to say I was a member of it a long time ago. D is Delta...
Naw, it was cheap and it has the hard drive and batteries appear to hold a good charge. I want to know if upgrading the RAM or any of that other computer geek stuff is possible. I know the hard drive caddy is special but the connection I think is standard. Old and slow but wondering if it can...
Wondering if anyone has any experience with these?
How hard would it be to obtain a hard drive (I think they're special dimensions or something) and upgrade the internals?
Are they easy to work on and if I take one apart, is there anything special I need to avoid / watch out for?
Any...
I have several of the standard loudspeaker LS454/U and want to know if anyone has either:
A. modified the plug to a USB
B. developed a military plug to USB adapter wire
C. made a Bluetooth adapter for it.
I've already seen the ammo can speaker for sale....not interested in that. Just...
