    Camaro seats in M1009?

What side do you need the foam bottom pad for? I have several loose seats and seat parts. Just an idea.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Last night it was more interior cab hand sanding, and I was able to get the primer on the main cab roof after getting the dents repaired. I am moving right along. I have a lot of property management work to handle now that the rains have begun again. I am currently doing everything alone and...

    Continued Fuel system issues

Based on what you wrote I would not know where to begin to help you. The repair manuals are worthless at this point with all the modifications. The CUCV is stock form was a simple design and easy to diagnose. Now I don't think I can help you. And leaking return lines will allow air into the fuel...

The CUCV has a specific decal. The one pictured is not for a CUCV.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Just what I need. Oils and silicone all over a sanded surface that I am ready to paint. I can just ignore it and cover it or scrape it off and paint it. I never needed a picture to show me how the jack, tools and tire needed to be stored. But I do want it as original as possible. I am looking at...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Just a few sneak peeks of my progress. It has been a long-drawn-out job and I am not completed yet. Someone brush painted CARC in the cargo area and was very sloppy about it. They sprinkled non-skid grit in it and that made a real mess. I have been digging, sanding, wire brushing my way thru...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Not much to post. The dents in the main cab roof have been repaired and are ready for primer. That was an easy task after a friend came over and worked his body repair skills on the dents. The way he fixed it was by slapping it and tapping at special places. The old body repair skills are a...

    Central FL M1031 project

These rear differentials are very tough. What you showed is pretty much the norm on a 40-year-old truck. In the past I would service the fluids and run it a while and service it again. I never seen much of an issue after that. That locker is a very noisy locker and unloads the no spin at the...

Puddle of coolant under my bellhousing

CUCV's have no tubing in the rear of the block. Just a cast hole in the rear of the valley under the intake manifold. And any leak is going to leak more under pressure. Pressure test the engine and check where it is coming from. Good Luck. The pressure test will tell all.

Puddle of coolant under my bellhousing

Check closely in the valley below the intake manifold. Is it wet there? And check all the coolant sensors and plates that cover holes in the rear of the head on the right side. Does the cross over coolant manifold leak? I would go there before I got to excited. Good Luck. Report back.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

It may seem to some that I am working in reverse but being that I started this project over 20 years ago I am moving along in the right direction. Last night after much thought I removed the front doors again. I decided that if I was going to be painting the entire inside of the cab it would be...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

I just posted this so you could see waste. Quick look I stole the picture it may be taken back again. A pile of M561 Gama Goats in Germany. The Gama Goat was initially designed for the US Military during the Vietnam War, was a remarkable off-road vehicle with six-wheel drive and partial...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I did get back into my project last night for a few hours. If you recall back in the beginning, I was going to get the entire interior Line Xed. That has since been taken off the table. The Line X shop cannot even start on it until mid to end July. They are not able to give a definite estimate...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I know you have been wondering if I made any progress in the past 3 days. I have NOT. I have been away and fell ill on Monday from who knows what. I had great intentions and after the torrential rain fall and an eye Dr' appointment with my pupils enlarged I felt best to rest and regroup. I am...

My M1009 has died new curve ball thrown Updated

I have always removed the #2 alternator and laid it aside. I also remove the P clamp that holds the hard line to the block. It gives you a bit of wiggle room to get that flare nut started. I change the fuel pump from the top side and only go under to loosen and tighten the 2 M6 push rod cover...

Which brand to use for a M1009 master brake cylinder?

News Flash. They all sell the same parts they are just packaged and labeled differently. I bought parts from NAPA several times and when I went to install, I noticed they were the same Dorman parts that AutoZone sells. at this point in time OEM parts are far and few between. And rebuilt in USA...

    M1009 Battery Disconnect Switch??

Do as you wish. You ask. Someone answered with a true statement. Only 1 ground that is the front battery to frame ground. I myself would just disconnect the batteries and live with it. Do as you wish. Switched ground is a dead truck. No ground no start. I may be missing something here. Good...

    M1009 Battery Disconnect Switch??

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

This is how things used to work out. Even when I took time off, I was able to make progress. I wanted to show the slight paint cracks. I am not sure you can see them, but they are there, and I have hand scuffed the entire jamb and inside of the doors. Practice makes perfect or at least extra...
