The doubles on a single configuration look ridiculous..and, are way out too far to be legal.
So, you want to off road?.
Look up any road test or report, (And) the single wheel configurations beat the doubles every time.
So people comment that lookes? What?. As you sail past the guy (s) stuck in...
I don't know why you talk about " Signals "..Or, Why you need to figure anything out using a military trailer with a military truck.

The joys ( or inconvenience at the time ) Of cleaning, servicing, and maintaining working components.
So that when needed everything works as it should,
And then ( I always find ), the previous inconvenience pales into insignificance..

You do not mention anywhere using the manifold heater when cold starting.
If that is working correctly It will fire first time every time.
Check the dashboard for the manifold heater switch, And follow the instructions for use. Operate while cranking the engine only, ( Sometimes it only take a...
Thank you, There are a plethora of "Help" videos on utube, Most all are complicated, totally impossible to follow and non descriptive,
Most know (Sort of ( Most don't! )) what they are on about, but have absolutely no idea how to convey it.
They are as rare as 'rocking horse poo', And I never ever saw a deuce M135, or M211 for sale (Exclude a totally restored one though) that had decent brakes.
Over 10 years searching each and every one I sought after had brake problems.
I finally have one now, (An M135), And yes, First job was to...
Check all the grounding (Earth) wiring. That sound typical of an earthing issue.
If you put a hot (Live) wire to the connector at the switch, first to the right and then left it should light the left rear and front, or right rear and front, Nothing else.
I have finished my updates of the fire fighting kit in the barn.
Please UPDATE or install yours most immediately.
You just never know, As we found out, BUT We were ( At least well ) PREPARED!.
It would have been much better to stand still near the engine when it is running for a longer period.
Walking about while waving the camera about ( Briefly ),is not conducive to a proper assessment.
The very brief noise (Changing as you walk and approach indicates nothing)
Other than perhaps it...
Well done with the repair job.
I thought you might be 'competing' with me!, But you were not present at your fire.
Probably saved you from a heart attack though.
Here is what we have in our barn, In addition to fire extinguishers of the regular type.

Seems odd that the seller had the pump reconditioned, And when fitted wrecked the engine (Nearly?),
He should have sought recompense.
Anywaze.. Your description doesn't fit the parts involved, And is a tad hard to follow.
However is you read the past posts here on the subject you might be ok...
Terrible time. We wish you all well and safe.
This, The Rescue', Is NO problem.
As it would be ( Or is, ) an emergency,
Invest in 'A' Bars for flat towing,
You can ( And I Could and Would With my kit, definately ), then pull as many as you like, SLOWLY (Loaded with Effects, and pets!)

Somewhat similar to the Eberspacher heater, They are about worth what you can get for them
I have bought those at shows for as little as £30. And (Not ), bought them at shows for as much as £250.).
