I have never had any problems posting to the classifieds until today, I type up my ad, added pics and when I submit new ad it goes to the screen where I can usually see my new ad but there is nothing there. It's not telling me I don't have privileges it's just blank. I checked my premium...
I agree with the laws not being fair, you can be a 90 year old senile old man and go buy a $300k motor home and as long as you have a valid class D license you can go drive it with no special training or license. Doesn't make much sense. Personally I think if you are using a truck for...
Not sure about Maine but in most states (including MN) you need a CDL if the vehicle or combination is over 26,000 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, not just what the vehicle weighs. When I drive my 3/4 ton truck with a 21K gooseneck trailer I need a class A license whether I'm empty or loaded. Not...
A guy who bought a deuce from me a while ago was going to get checked by a LEO but the cop didn't realize that the screen came out of the tank and couldn't test him. Luckily he had less than a half a tank because he was running offroad!
It would be nice if there was a way to flush the tranny. When I change the fluid on my civy trucks I take them to a local 4x4 shop and they hook it up to a machine that circulates the old fluid out, then runs a cleaner through, then the new tranny fluid. I would have to imagine that that process...
Well I am thoroughly impressed, I rigged up a power bleeder and it worked after the first try! All my life I have been able to bleed brakes either by gravity or with another person pressing the pedal but this truck ended that streak. The power bleeder is the way to go!
I have read a bunch of threads about the deuce brake system but my situation is rather odd. I have a deuce that had perfectly working brakes but the brake lights didn't work. I replaced the sensor that activates the brakes (it's the type that screws into the front of the air pack) and in doing...
I would just tell them you decided to sell the truck and demand all your paperwork back (sf-97) and take it to the White Bear DMV. I would also pay the extra $20 and 'fasttrack" it and you will have a title in 2-3 days.
I think it depends which rims you use also, if you go with stock deuce rims they will rub on the steering drag link at full right turns. I have mine on modified HEMTT rims and have not got them to rub anywhere. I think A3 rims work just as good also.
I ran the stock replacements in my mud truck the first year and just put them in as is, no need to add a washer. IIRC the yoke portion is a little longer so it ends where the washer would be on a stock shaft.
FYI the transfer case engages automatically to drive the front axle on these 5 tons, you probably wouldn't even have noticed it if it is working properly.
