    New M1078A1R

Log onto your state DPS website and see if they sell temporary transport tags. I drove my across country with paper tags. Cost me like $30 and they're good for like 30 days iirc. *you'll need the VIN and insurance

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

When in doubt, I just take my old hose to the local hose shop and let them make one up. Should be several hose shops in San Antonio and along the corridor who could hook you up.

    steering wheel bolt size...

I think you grossly underestimate my ability to screw stuff like this up. I'm good at function, but not so much at form. I mean, it would still work for turning the truck but it would be a Frankinwheel. LOL

This is what I'd like too do as well.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

I've been lugging my little folding solar panel kit around for a few weeks now. Wanted a place to stow it that would withstand bouncing around offroad. Seemed like keeping it close to the batteries made sense. Some scrap aluminum angle, some ss d-rings, a pass with the rattle can, done...

    Crew Cab LMTV

Well, it's a Steyr so it wouldn't have the same load rating as a LMTV. And it's metric, so who really knows how the hell all that works? ;p

    Seized ether start solenoid

I'm curious just what "pricey" is, but my time is worth more than calling a point-of-compass military parts flipper to find out. I'm betting that it's in the $300+ price range from them with another $60 to ship (given that it's an $82 part readily available elsewhere with $15...

CTIS pressure settings increase - no programming, transducer, or module required.

Yeah, mine was a later black box off my 2008 truck. It had worked flawlessly a couple years then sadly went five-solid after I removed it to repaint the face of the heater. I was methodical in making sure the power was off and batteries disconnected. It just came on with five solid. I...

CTIS pressure settings increase - no programming, transducer, or module required.

Awesome stuff. I wish my controller wasn't bricked. I'm not too keen on replacing it given that the failure rate appears to be every other truck out there. But great info for those with working controllers !

    Cab Drink Cooler

Still loving the little cooler. It's the perfect size and weight for me to easily toss into the cab fully loaded. While it has never pulled my truck's 12v battery down to a "no-go" state, I wanted something to keep things topped off at the beach. I've not tested what the actual draw...

1079 Getting in the back + liftgate?

The first question I'd ask is are you looking for a boarding solution or are you entertaining a rear deck? I'll assume since you included a liftgate solution that you are leaning in the direction of a deck-type solution? Second question is if you intend to ever pull a trailer. If...

    Manual CTIS, electric over pneumatic.

I think the biggest draw to using the Arduino over building a manual controller is the fact that it's plug-n-play. I'd have loved to have done a manual, but the more I looked at running air lines, buying all the fittings, hoses and such, the more the Arduino made sense for me. At least for...

    M1078a1p2 electrical problem

Have you inspected the wire loom under the dash, etc. Could always be a wire chaff/burn/short I suppose.

Blown tire need pneumatic bottle jack suggestion

I was just being sarcastic with regards to the extent "certain" flippers buy up all of certain items that someone posts to hoard and scalp. As TomTom said, hopefully they went to members and not one of the big venders. :)

LMTV self cancelling turn signal adjustment

I just let my turn signals flash. Be seen....avoid accidents.

Blown tire need pneumatic bottle jack suggestion

The last six sold out for $20. But not to worry, a certain point-of-compass surplus flipper now has six for sale for only $300 ea. ;p
