The block heater is a big help when temps get low. It takes a while to warm up tho.

My 816 has two batts. I'm in Colorado so it gets cold now and then. I, too, give it a sniff of ether when it's cold.

Turn the pto shaft with something, if the drum moves turn the other way. This will take the load off of the engagement pall and allow the lever to be put back in neutral. It may take several turns on the shaft untill it can be disengaged. This lever engages and disengages the drum to the drive...

I just loaded the operator's manual and parts manual for the STE/ICE-R. It's in the Tech. Man. section. Operators Manual TM9-4910-571-12&P Parts and Maint. TM9-4910-571-34&P I guess it will be available when it's approved by SS.
