The PRC-77 freq. range, 30-75 Mhz, is still within the military restricted range with a small portion in the 6 meter Ham range. That requires a license.
You can indeed legally own it and drive it on the road in the UK. The M113 is actually less expensive in the UK than the US as many were sold from NATO stock that cannot be returned to the US. BENELUX countries sold off a bunch a few years ago and they were very reasonably priced. Not as cheap...
That's not quite true. President Johnson was the first to publically mention the RS-71, which he mistakenly called the SR-71 and the name was changed. That was 1965. Bush was CIA director in 1976.
This is a great thread but so long...I've tried to read it all. Three questions: 1. So at this point, what is the thoughts on durability? 2. What do you use as primer on bare metal? 3. Can you choose the finish as in eggshell vs. flat etc.?
