    M1028 Resurrection

And yes, the M1010's are going to the big scrap yard in the hills very soon. I have some construction work being done in my yard and the 1 M1010 with the skirts and A/C still attached against the fence is going to be the first M1010 to go. Be quick. I am in the early stages of that...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Just so you don't think I was slacking off last night, I have a progress report. I dismounted all 5 wheels and tires and dropped them off at the sand blaster. I was fortunate when I pulled into the lot the blasting room doors were closed and he came out and put them right in to be blasted. Only...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

My experience with air spring assists was never good. I have friends that swear by them on smaller trucks. I had them on a CUCV M1028 salt spreader truck and in the middle of a storm one of the connections leaked air and the truck was not usable. That was when I installed the new leaf springs. I...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I try. Not as quickly as some others would like me to. But trying and getting things done is always the challenge. Thank you for the support. Positive or negative I can handle it. Hanging a fender used to be childs play. Now just need a little help from my friends and family. I am learning about...

Sourcing a complete engine wiring harness '86 M1008

I wouldn't sell one for $200. so I would get the one John has. I just know how hard they are to find complete and unhacked I still have a few friends and businesses that have CUCV's. I could hardly even begin to diagnose and repair a hacked engine wiring harness on any vehicle for $200. That...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

In defense of the truck. It is a 1987 M1028 and has a load of Sycamore logs under the Maple. Sycamore is what they make chopping blocks out of. Very dense and heavy wood. Besides the springs are OEM springs and all CUCV's should have new springs by now. I have a set for this truck. I will get...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I started to hang the left fender in place and needed help. I stopped and will wait for help. Getting it aligned without chipping the painted edges requires assistance. It is bolted loosely in place. That is a step in the right direction. Take Care. Be Safe.

    M1102 Hand Brakes

While I was out working and greasing all 6 of the hand brakes of the M1102 trailers and chassis I thought I would remove the hand brakes from another trailer I have sitting here and using parts from it. I was able to get both of these hand brakes from my trailer frame. I would like to trade...

    M1102 Hand Brakes

I went out and removed the first brake lever and had it back in operational status in a few minutes. These pliers are for getting the sprag springs depressed closed so the lever can be removed. I only removed 1 lever and figured it out that I don't need to remove them to get them working...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

I am going out to my barn and work on a few things. An M1102 trailer and an M1009. I will be back with pictures. The M1102 needs to have operational hand brakes on it so I can park it and not have it roll away. I am going to put a lunette ring lock on it after I design one. I have 3 trailers...

Where can I get these tie down hooks?

How many of these buckles do you really need? I have them. They are brand new with a short piece of material on them. I bought them when I had my Mule M1009 for the top.

    M1102 Hand Brakes

I am new at modern military trailers and learning about the handbrake system. I have 3 of the M1102 trailers and each one has a unique issue with the handbrakes. Most problem I feel are due to lack of maintenance and someone used a vise grips in an attempt to adjust or tighten them. I have a...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I now know how this guy feels. I am doing all this with my chores , work , life , and hobbies. Soon I will be adding fishing. But still have time for Family. Take Care. I will get something CUCV related done this week. Even if it means cutting one up for scrap. Every vehicle meets the scrap pile...

    Electric fuel pump thread

This thread is 12 years old and the man that started it has not been on the site since 2011. Take your mouse over his name and it will show you his last activity date. And since the CUCV is 99.9% 12 volt you will NOT need any converter. Good Luck. My vote is for the stock diaphragm pump. Tried...

    Injector Fuel Return Lines

A needle nose hemostat clamp works perfect. I have stock GM return lines in the bags I bought 25 years ago and have used maybe 1 or 2 in 200K miles. Texas might eat them faster. Good Luck. Rubber or cloth. All the same.
