The cold start switch is separate from the ignition switch. It's a simple wire coming off one of the batteries. It goes out to a glow plug in the air intake. That's all there is to the cold start system. Mine was cut on my M813 when I bought it from GL. I don't recall any other 12v on 809...

It's a 2.5 ton truck, but not a deuce in the traditional sense. That's not a bad looking M135, looks like it'd be a worthwhile acquisition for someone with the know-how and time to fix it. I hope someone can save it from a rusty death.

Nope. SINCGARS can be used with VIC-1, VIC-2, or VIC(VIS)-3 as well as a whole mess of different speakers. LS-671 and LS-454 are probably the most common.
