New 6x6 owner in central Kansas

I don't think it's an m756 pipeline truck, the bed and headache rack are not correct.

New 6x6 owner in central Kansas

Nice truck, sure would be a shame to cut up an older one like that. But it is yours and do what makes you happy.

    Axle vent/pressure release valve

I can't say if those will keep water out, but would Definately recommend doing the central vent upgrade. It is really cheap to do and will keep you from blowing axle seals. I personally wouldn't mess with those vents, if they don't keep water out you will spend more in fluid for one axle than...

Finished putting a new motor (switched the ldt-4651c to a ldt465-1d thick deck) and whistler turbo in, did alot of other stuff before dropping the new motor in.

Water/steam from crankcase vent. Small amount of antifreeze in oil.

Well shoot, I missed that last part. All I read to was that he drained a pint of oil and it looked fine. Disregard my prior post.

Water/steam from crankcase vent. Small amount of antifreeze in oil.

If the oil isn't milky though, I doubt that it's water contamination. Test the oil by taking a sheet of copy paper and pull the dipstick and let it drip a drop or two on the paper and look for a rainbow like color around the drip mark to determine if it's fuel in the oil. Or pull a sample and...

Turnbutton studs for the winter front kit.

My winter from doesn't attach with the turn knobs like the soft top. It has metal wire loops installed on the truck and then the rope string threads through the wire loops.

700 mi. What do you guys think?

If the truck is mechanically sound I sure don't see why he wouldn't do it. You could have a brand new truck on a road trip break down, just never know what will happen. I drive my old 1970 Chevy truck on long drives and never doubt that it will make it.

    1983 M925 What rims should I get

They will bolt right up but, you will need to get the same lug nuts for the rears that the fronts have. You can run the stock lugs but it's not the best option

    1983 M925 What rims should I get

Just go with hemtt wheels, the offset will be the best and shouldn't rub in turns

FMTV wrecker rough start and idle, what is it? Attached sound clip

Sort of sounds like you might have a bad injector or two.

Considering a M927 or M928 to live in...

I am just going to put in my two cents since I am in college too. It doesn't seem practical to spend that sort of money to customize a truck to live in, especially in Alaska. Buying an mv is one thing, but sinking thousands into it to live in is another. The money you put into it to use it as...
