The fluid dropped after I pumped up the pedal with no air in the system. Thinking the shoes stayed moved out closer to the drum? No leaks at the wheels.
I just went out and pumped the brakes with no air pressure in the system and no fluid spraying out of the reservoir no matter how hard or how many times I pump. I will add that when I last worked on and power bled the brakes a few months ago I had about a half pedal. When I checked today and...
Its when the pedal is released. But I haven't gotten back out there to check it without air in the system. Had some family events this evening. I'll definitely check that tomorrow.
I've adjusted the front wheels and one mid axle one one side, minor adjustment, so I have 3 more drums to adjust...
No I disconnected the vent line to the mc, plugged it and added a remote reservoir ran into the cab. The reservoir is a small motorcycle reservoir, I wasn't comfortable using the one that vented directly to the atmosphere.
I have completely rebuilt my entire brake system in my 1971 M35A2 with the single master cylinder, adding a small remote reservoir in the cab next to the drivers seat in the process. Using clear tubing I keep the fluid level close to the floor line. When I have air pressure in the tanks and I...
Agreed. I bought two marine batteries at $80 and $100 each, same exact model but price changed when I got the second one. The big box stores have them as well a s rural king. Worked great on my truck that ha dnt ran in 8 years
So the main theme of the video is that the button fell off the hydraulic head. He apparently gave the clip some extra grip power and reused the button? Whats to keep it from falling off again? Seems like a huge vulnerability for a machine that needs to be super reliable.
Sorry guys, haven't been able to do more on this due to trying to find a decent truck to daily drive and family projects. Got the daily driver figured out so will hopefully get back on this project soon.
Thinking the army navy fittings will be the way to go. Screws in tight, I'll have to do some testing to make sure it seals well.
To date I have not found any bubble flare fittings that would work. Peashooter's diagram shows the brake lines for the air force deuce to be 1/4" coming out of the...
Yes I am too. Problem is, the master cylinder I received does not have a flare insert. Therefore, I need brass adapters to connect the brake lines to the master cylinder. You may want to check yours to make sure it has the flare inserts.
