    booster pump assembly

Hmmm, I might have found my answer in another thread: From: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?21469-M35-engine-transmission-swap-amp-road-gear I guess I am going to have to push this thing to where I can get the gantry crane on it to remove the booster. Still like to hear other...

    booster pump assembly

Did you ever find what the answer was to this? Figure I'll bump an existing thread versus starting a new one. I have a deuce we got from Albany. Paperwork says it was running in 2008. Isn't now. I have a ton of fuel going into the booster pump (volume and pressure-I swear it would fill up...

Bumperette removal. Do they still serve a purpose?

If your truck ever needs a push, the bumperettes allow such an operation without damage. The rubber bumpers on your tailgate sit against the bumperettes when open all the way.

My New Project - 1942 Ford GPW

How did you straighten the frame? My limited experience with Jeep frames has been that almost all of them are off in some way-either a high or low corner or out of square. All my experience with such issues involved frame benches.

    M-series flasher relay - civvy conversion how-to

Took my first "trip" in the truck with the "clinto relay conversion" (rofl). Approximately 100 miles when we went to the BBQ Saturday with Andy3 and the guys. Pulling Dave's equipment trailer with my 24-12 GI adapter and going through a lot of traffic and a lot of turns, no problems...

Dual Voltage Alternator Install on a Deuce

Do you have the 100, 200 or 400 amp? I believe the only one that will fit the multifuel is the 100. I know for a fact the 400 will not: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?104921-Dual-Voltage-Gen-in-Deuce&p=1363367&viewfull=1#post1363367 Tangentially related...

    GA Meet, Greet, and Eat

We had a great time today. Much thanks to everyone who put the effort into planning this and much thanks to everyone for showing up. We had a nice time, it was nice to not be working on a Saturday for once. Did anyone take any pictures? We didn't take any.

    GA Meet, Greet, and Eat

Got the truck pre-flighted and loaded today. Have a cargo cover kit and a marker light for a couple folks. If anyone is looking for any of the stuff that we (clinto / clintogf) have for sale, we can bring it with us or you can follow us back to the house (about 20 miles) and we'll have a flea...

Need a new oil pan, any suggestions?

I think we have a couple of NOS GM pans but I can't remember if they're for HMMWV or CUCV. They're not the same, right?

Can you mix 'n match airpacks? - One long one short on an USAF Deuce.

According to that manual, the dual circuit trucks do break the brakes up into front/rear split. I tried tracing the lines on the image contained in the SMARPI supplement but I'll be darned if I can tell (I would have broken that into 2 separate images, one for hydraulic and one for air if I...

How can I keep the front axle from engaging on my M818?

I believe there is a military MWO that installs an air shift switch in the dash, similar to a deuce. It cuts the air to the transmission air solenoids and this more or less puts the transfer in neutral. I think I'm describing this correctly. A search in the 5 ton section for something like...

Total Brake Failure on my Air over Hydraulic Tacoma

What is the Tacoma connection? I'm confused. Have you installed a take-out brake system from a Toyota on your deuce? Is your deuce named Tacoma? Are you in Tacoma, Texas?

    How bad would it be?

Although most of the stuff at Harbor Freight is crap, I have to say, their cheapy HVLP guns are awesome. I've painted all sorts of stuff with them, including a 3-stage pearl (base, clear, pearl) on a friends car who was in an accident and couldn't afford the $1500 the shop wanted to do the...
