The 219 series was listed down the page a little, between the 218 and 220 series. I did not check to see if they had links to the manuals, because I have no use for them. It's up to you to inquire at the site to see if they actually have the manuals.
In plain english, what G744 said is the AS3900 and antenna will cover a very wide spectrum of frequencies without any modifications. The MX6707 base requires the frequency range to be manually (or electronically if you have the control cable with the proper switch on the other end) set to the...
Grinding on the end is likely to damage more than it fixes. It's not 'just' a piece of metal. If I remember correctly the antennas are more like an array of different lengths (electrically) and the transmit signal goes up the path of least resistance. That 'least resistance' may still be a...
I have not had an operational CB in over 30 years! You are correct about the AS-3900, it is 'supposed to be' close enough for military use in the entire spectrum they are using. Modern US military radios use frequency hopping extensively as a security measure.
I have not dealt with the AS-3900 base, BUT, you should be able to put an SWR meter inline between the radio and the base and see if it can be adjusted for the frequency you are using. SWR - Standing Wave Ratio see this site for more information >...
Long time ago I got some items from HI (and had a very big shipping bill) and the demil code changed. Got a letter saying to take them to the nearest DRMO. I called and said these went from HI to SC, what about the shipping cost I incurred? They wound up paying me back for the shipping which...
On one of mine, I took the USA number, the four digit model number and the five digit actual serial number to make a 17 character VIN. DMV clerks put it in and I got my title and registration (as a 'property carrying' vehicle).
I got a DMV clerk really confused when I told here this story - "REO made the first design, Studebaker made them till they went bankrupt, then Kaiser Jeep picked up production, that's when this one was made, and the company then became General Products Division of American Motors, then AM...
