    Powering my rv with 806b?

Your 806b needs to have 420 amps of load to keep it from wet stacking if run for more than a day or so. A 50 amp RV pigtail will only be able to draw a maximum of 100 amps (50 in each leg). Unfortunately for your wallet, even loafing along with only 100 amps of draw it will drink over 2...

    Powering my rv with 806b?

MEP-806b at 70 percent load produces slightly over 1000 KwH a day. The Biltmore House might use that much in a day, but it's a bit larger than most of us can afford. The 806b will also be burning 4.2 gallons x 24 hours x $3.50 a gallon = $352.80 a day for diesel. That must be SOME BIG RV! My...

    Powering my rv with 806b?

MEP-806b is a 60KW set. 120 volts x 600 amps x .80 percent power factor = 60 KW Most houses have a 200 amp main panel and rarely exceed a 150 amp load with an all electric house. Some other considerations for you to think about are > 1. Fuel, the general rule is it takes 1 gallon per hour...

    My first multifuel?

Some of the TM's incorrectly call it a micro lock. They are made by MICO corporation, and they are not cheap.

    LDS 465

Both of those pictures look like "C" (whistler) turbos, as they get wider as they go around. The "D" turbos are the same outside size all the way around.

    M818 for business

I've been there and that ground when dry is hard as a rock, but the area is very flat and the water stands after a hard rain, so it probably did sink, just can't remember how long ago.

    My first multifuel?

Winch is about 500, est high on the tires at 200 each, front bumper as much as 250, cab 1500-2000, engine 2000, transmission 350-400, transfer case 500-700, axles maybe 500-700 each, misc frame parts 400-600, frame ?. But this is my guess from moving deuce parts around. YMMV.

    M1088 camper conversion

when you are totaling up the additional loads, compute your water/waste water as all FULL and the refrigerator full of water/frosty beverages and then give yourself about 500 pounds of leeway and you should be good. So long as you don't go over 25,999 you are 'golden'.

    My first multifuel?

The MICO brake lock is kind of a strange creature. When you apply it, don't try to put your foot through the floor on the break pedal. Use just enough force to keep the truck still, press the push button and take your foot off the break pedal. When you go to move the truck, you MUST press the...

Squibbly's M1009 and other Questionable Projects

I almost bought an Osborn, waited about a year and got a Compaq with two full height floppies, replaced them with two half height ones and put in a hard disk from Qubie Distributors that cost me $1000 then. It held a whopping 10 megabytes. I have 256 Gigabyte USB drives now and a two terabyte...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

There is actually a 'turbo kit' which has all the parts except the actual turbo and the four inch diameter "J" pipe which has all the gaskets and other parts you will need. They used to be common.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

MKT: Mobile Kitchen Trailer - Checklist and Guide

If you mean screen sides, I have some. For a complete enclosure you will need two 15 foot long ones for the sides, two 7 foot long ones for the intermediate ends and two five foot long ones for the short ends (one of each on each end. I'm running short on some of the types (I think the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The diesel the deuce was designed to originally use had a LOT of sulfur in it, and that sulfur acted as a lubricity enhancer. The stuff nowadays has almost no sulfur and thus needs a lubricity enhancer for those who want a long life out of their engines. YMMV.

MKT: Mobile Kitchen Trailer - Checklist and Guide

Your state agricultural office usually holds classes to get a ServSafe manager's certification and the cost is usually between $115 and $150 for a one day class and the test. Selling food to the public does require a business license which is why I've always cooked for 'closed groups' that I am...
