Or use Opti-Lube. One gallon of that will treat up to 512 gallons of diesel. I just bought a 5 gallon bucket for the club, with shipping it worked out to $54.49 a gallon. On a per gallon of diesel basis it's cheaper than motor oil or two stroke!
"Somebody" will insure it, it just depends on how much will it cost you! Antique auto insurance for occasional use only is much cheaper than commercial rates mainly because of the number of hours per day (and miles driven per year) it will spend on the roads. I have antique auto insurance and...
Saw the listing on Amazon, and ABE books for printed copies, but it's also available in PDF.

There is a story on here somewhere about an individual who combined the Army registration number, model number and serial number to get a 17 'digit' number for the serial number, and told them it was a Kaiser-Jeep. They found 'Kaiser' in the system and were presented with a 17 character VIN, so...
Mark your calendar for Labor Day weekend. That's when the VA MV Rally takes place 10 miles west of Madison at the Graves Mountain Lodge. You can contact Cabell (member @CGarbee here) for more info on the rally.
Florida you should be good if it already has a title and tags. Take the paperwork in and pay the fees and you walk out. Insurance is a slightly different question, but there are plenty of Florida members that have insurance, so I'll let them speak up on that subject - every state is different...
Which is why the farm tractors go so many hours between overhauls, 8,000 hours at 30 mph is 240,000 miles, 14,000 hours would be 420,000 miles, but those tractors rarely get revved over 2100 rpm, and the compression ratio is less than the multi-fuel.
The same engine block was used in the Oliver tractors, which went 8000-14000 hours between overhauls. Of course they were not multi-fuel, did not have as high a compression ratio, and were used most every day, but I doubt they got the rpm's up very high.
Many times the military units will swap out tires on trucks that are being deployed, even it it is just to the NTC. All 'new' rubber is better than a flat in their way of thinking. "But sarge, we just changed that tire last month" "Shut up and put a new one on, troop".
Years ago I got custom length fiberglass slats from Stefan Wood Products. Used to make short side seats for the back of my M-36 (behind where the S-280 sat), and as uprights for the bows so we could put a screen over the S-280. Screen was strictly for being parked, made from an old cargo...
Main reason I found this is that guyfang, mullaney and I are working on database of the TM's, both on SS and in our private collections to expand what is available to the group AND provide a search engine to help locate the 'right' manual for each undertaking. We are currently being hampered...
An extra 1.5 inches would explain why it does not fit! The deuce and the 800 series share the same general cab dimensions (the 900 series are over a foot wider), so maybe your cab cover is actually for the 800 series 5 ton's. I really don't know.
