They can’t be balanced as a unit because the wheel spins on the shaft and if it was not phased right it would be out of balance. Manufacturer says that wheel is balanced and doesn’t require balancing. Time will tell but I appreciate you looking out for me…. From the manufacturer It is a...

    Slantback M1043A2

I couldn’t figure mine out either. I pulled and I pushed with enough pressure that should have opened it up. Only after I got it off it would function. I think it was rusted closed

    Slantback M1043A2

Waste gate pulls and doesn’t push.

    Slantback M1043A2

I think it requires different hubs that have a provision for the airline. I’m not in anyway an expert on it. For the wheel winch it’s kinda goofy.

    Slantback M1043A2

    That’s a place for a winch. Military Humvee’s don’t have CTIS

Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your new truck! Looks really good. I like those slantbacks better than the new ones

ECV Humvee AC kit on a M1123/M998

I don’t like the extended front end and the 3 foot long generator is going to get replaced

ECV Humvee AC kit on a M1123/M998

It sucks compared to my M1123. Lol I’m still trying to get my M1165 running. I think I will love the hardtop and ac. Turbo too. I really like the simplicity of my M1123 and it runs perfect

What EGT gauge did you get to fit into the air filter hole?
  10. Maxjeep1

    M1165

Do you think I really have a need for EGT gauge? You are getting lower temps than before. I agree once boost is set not much reason to have it. EGT is probably more useful than air filter gauge

Can you show me where you mounted your boost and EGT gauges? I looked around and I didn’t see a great location for 2 gauges

    You like the can gone?

    M1165

I started my Mogman turbo waste gate. I think it’s going to work out good. I need to get a die. I will probably use a nylon locking nut and maybe a wing nut until I get boost adjusted right. This is what I got so far…

Is this where you installed your EGT probe?

    M1165

You get 5 more pounds of boost and you should be able to feel the difference. So that spring and cap is underneath the cap you ground off?

    M1165

The wheel is balanced just like the one I took off. The stock wheel just spins on the shaft when it’s loose there is no keyway or nothing. I seen the dimple on the back of the new wheel from being balanced.

    M1165

The wheel makes the little bitty turbo work more efficiently. I dont want to mess with boost until I get it running and see what’s going on with stock boost before I change it. I was looking at a manual waste gate that I might add after I get it running. I don’t think wheel will make much...

    M1165

I received my Wicked II turbo wheel today and I heated up in the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees and I had the pedestal in the freezer overnight. Wheel went on and it was tight. The new wheel is a lot different than the stock wheel. I assembled everything and put anti seize on everything that...

Mine had a paper gasket on the elbow to the housing and rtv from the housing to the pedestal. The exhaust side had nothing.

I have looked thru several TM’s and I can not find the triangle gasket that goes between the elbow and the housing. I have several hours in looking and I got nothing. I did find a diagram on Lynch Hummer for a 2000 h1 but it had a part number S.I.A. Whatever that means. I finally found it!!!
