Being that we have so much radio discussion, maybe a separate thread could be spun off so to keep it in one spot instead of spread out though the thread.
That is the same winch that is used on ALL the 5Ts, only the 939 series had a adaptor for a hyd. drive motor. Pull the adaptor then you should be good to go, the only things you will need, will be the cheek plates, the lower mounting angles (you could make both of these ) and a 809 winch drive...
That is a 5t winch off a 936 wrecker, it is missing the drive motor and mounting plates/lower mounting angles, You could make the mounts but you can not use the hyd. motor (if you find one) because it will not clear the lower cross member and radiator, you can pull the hyd. drive adaptor then...
That does not look that hard to fab up, a pair would give you 4 wheel steer, this would be a fun build, I agree that a 939 series would be a better base to work with then a LMTV
As far as ladies at the rally, I would say a easy 100, a awful lot of families make the rally, this can attest to the kind of rally it is and the over site to keep it that way.
Should not be any oil spill unless the motor is dumped over, the anti freeze makes great weed killer, just can not get it to close to the front lawn because if it hills the weeds, I won't have a front lawn, though that works for me but not my wife.
