    Wire loom tape?

wow....I can see now how it has some uses in the automotive side, especially where wire passes through clamps or metal holes (like a firewall). I guess I will need to put some of this up for sale as I have more than a lifetimes supply.

CAIMAN MRAP LED HEADLAMP UPGRADE ISSUE

LED headlamps can be tricky as the +/- has to be put on correctly or they will not function properly. I would use a voltmeter to identify the +/- leads. Don't assume the military numbers are correctly labeled. When I changed to LED on my M1078 I had some issues just like you describe. I was...

    A0 Cab air bag system

Today I dragged out the O-ring boxes and found three for the actuator valve. Replaced them and reinserted the valve. Fired up the truck to refill the air tanks and gave the cab air bag actuator a push and turn. Air bags filled. Checked the breather valve on the back......no more air leaks...

    A0 Cab air bag system

Ronmar......that totally makes sense now. So, I need to pull the cab air bag valve actuator out and rebuild it (o-rings) as it is leaking in there and venting out the breather valve on the back. Thank you. I will dive in the TM tonight. Thank you.

    A0 Cab air bag system

So I was replacing an air bag today as we knew it had a leak. I also noticed on the back side of the control box there also appeared to be a leak. Upon further inspection, air was escaping from what I later found to be a small breather valve. So new airbag installed, air up the system and it...

    Wire loom tape?

I found a roll in the garage. NSN # 5970-00-177-1627. Insulation tape, electrical. There is a post on that expensive auction site, asking $20 a roll, but he has pictures up. I have a bunch if people have interest and can do a classified if anyone is interested. Prob 1/4 of that plus shipping. I...

    Wire loom tape?

I have a bunch of rolls of what appears to be a silicon-based tape. They were in a lot of stuff I picked up. If I can get out to the rolls and find an MSN number, I will post it

What have you done WITH your FMTV ( trips, Rescues etc) NOT: fixes, updates etc

No pictures yet, but it works fabulous for pulling large manzineta brush out by the roots. Kids and I had a blasy throwing tow straps around the base and popping the other end in to the pintle. Barely any acceleration and wham...out goes the bushes rooots and all.
