I'm using air brake line. Using the inserts , but I had to dremel grind the lip off of one side of the standard brass ferrules so they would seat correctly. About 2 years have passed , so leaks so far.
I'll get pix today. In summary: the adjustable mounting feet of the Vector are positioned directly over the roof supports. Then drilled thru & bolted 4 places.
The mechanic who is removing the box has first dibs. The reason that I'm using this truck is because its been gone thru bumper to bumper and everything works on it, doesn't leak anything, starts right up even after sitting for a month, its been singled out, winch installed, and I know its...
I took that preheater gizmo off of mine. There is a plunger kinda thing that developed a leak and dripped fuel directly onto the turbo, I'm thinking thats a bad thing. Starts just fine without it.
OK, finally decided to go for it : put the 109 in the shop today to pull the box off. Getting the 2-axis 5th wheel put on next. Then mounting the spare behind the cab ala 5-ton, with a boom so I can actually get it down from there. A fuel tank will go where the spare was, with a filter system so...
I'll get the number off it next time I'm over there, The owner uses it for storage so it isn't for sale. Its a 6-ton , single axle, 9.00x20's like you say.
Yea, I coulda had an A3 for what I have into my A2, I didn't know better at the time. Now I could never get out of it what I have into it. Oh, to answer the original question : I paid $3500 for 7good used tires/wheels, hub flip included, my well worn originals trade in.
Haven't found a '146 yet, though have seen the windowless version of that trailer. I s'pose I could install the windows from the 109 box (not have as many) but that sound like alot of work 8<(
Yep, me too, got a line on the conversion parts 109--->tractor. That military 5th wheel is cool cuz it articulates in two dimensions. Sooooo....anyone have a 146 trailer to sell, somewhere in the southwest?
