Nice looking truck. You can take the top to a canvas shop and get it repaired for about $35.
I have noticed after you drive the trucks with the CTIS it starts working better some times.
I used gear oil 80/90w, but you need to look in the TM for the amount. It does not take very much.
You put it in the two side of the winch. There is plugs you pull to drain it and plug on top to fill it.
I put in 130gals at a cost of $520. The truck got right at 8.5mpg running 55-60mph.
I had over a half of a tank left when I got to SA, TX.
Was not a bad trip, for the inside of a MV...well I am going with Castle Bravo to pickup his M925 at Nellis AFB next week. Road Trip!!
We made it to Tx ok!!!!:jumpin:
Joe liked the truck,
No tire, bearing, motor, etc. probelms.
Truck ran great. Ran about 55-60 mph, at 1800-2000 rpm.
Got about 8.75 mpg for the 1100 miles.
Also did very well on all the hills.
It was a long trip, but not to bad. My body does feels it...
We stayed in Las Cruces, NM last night and we made it to Sonora, TX tonight. About 180 mile to SA, TX, Yea!!!
Getting about 9 mpg and tires doing good so far. Running about 55 mph at 1800 rpm.
