The nuts are 1 3/16". The top is captive, so you don't need to hold that . Easiest way is to use a couple extensions from below and hit with your impact gun.

Passenger side.. about 10 minutes. A little more than an hour on the drivers side.. After we figured out the tricks.
Definitely helps to have two people, and a 8' pry bar.
Been busy getting a bunch of things in order (brakes, eco hubs, etc.) and finally getting around to troubleshooting CTIS.
CTIS has not worked since i got the truck. No lights on the ECU.

It’s a check valve or something that prevents the air over hydraulic from working when the parking brake is not set. Safety thing.
I just traced all the way to the back. Grabbed a plug from Home Depot and decided I’ll mess with the rest. Later. If ever. It’s deleted.
I think i solved the mystery of the front brake wedge.
Upon further review... it looks like the fronts use the same wedge assembly as the rears. 24P doesn't mention it. Appendix H hints at it.. Dissaseembly seems to confirm, that it is the same wedge as the rears, just slips into a yoke.
Well....I went 6 for 6 on rusted out wedge springs. The two front wedge assemblies were also rusted and broke while unscrewing the chambers.
Unfortunately, The 24P does not list a part number for the front brake wedge assembly. (It is listed as part #5 for the rear, but obviously...

My torque only goes up to 325 ft lbs.

Inner bearing service and seal, CTIS seals, and ECO hubs. I used anaerobic RTV instead of the specified grey...
Things I learned today.
- check the hard air lines on the hub. when i got my truck there were no ctis...
Managed to get a lot done this weekend.
- fenders, lights and reflectors removed. Fun little surprise on the tail lights. :rolleyes:
- all the HUKs removed for bed removal. side mounted cut off wheel is the right tool for this job.
- side project on the dodge. Brakes.
- side project oil change...
