Just a note : if your making a manual system...20 seconds is to long ...should be 5 to 10 , unless you only have a few plugs glowing.

Early A2 frames are galvanized and slightly thicker, and have drain plugs.....the REV frame rails are 3 piece per rail welded and way heavy and use a Sheppard steering system.

If you copy those mounts...there only for the 3 hole bumper...won't work on Electric winch trucks. I get winch mount brackets made when needed...sold lots a pairs. ...

Make sure your shifter is in neutral. If nothing.....You can also disconnect it under truck and see if your getting voltage to the switch.

Ign. switch out "S" should be 14A to Neutral sw.In...then Neutral out should be 14B to Smart start in socket "A". Smart start out in eng. compartment is Pin " I " to wire 74A to solenoid. ...................... Disconnect batteries, ...unplug under dash connector on Smart box. Then reconnect...

If it stays on...box is probably bad.....but, if you splice in a light that will show plugs are powered.....so after 10 seconds or so... if Light is still on...shut off truck.

I have had new and used A0. A1, and A2 rods...all had cuts . Maybe someone used some other auto part other than AM general.

Direct drive 1 piece motor was normally in an Mrap, but they use same heavy M1114 bearing, and a totally different 2 piece gear ring with spacers. I have or had every turret config. for Hmmwv's and Mraps. Some of the photo's on earlier pages are mine.

I have almost all types...But, you need a turret support . Look in TM that NDT listed fig 196d # 24 shows the turret support you need first. I don't have one but have everything else....but can't get to it until next week.
