When diagnosing the A/C Ether switch I discovered the Ether
Solenoid was all rusted up. It is so bad I opt'd to just replace anew.
Yes I know it is not supposed to work unless it is 50* F or under
AND the starter is turning. When under 50 and starter is turning
I believe it will deliver 5cc of...
Are there any SS members whom really know what they
are talking about RE Intercoms?
I landed on a apir of David Clark H3430 headsets AND a pair
of David Clark U3410 Belt stations.
Yes, I know this stuff is designed for ground use, BUT you know
what I own.
I want a 2 person intercom brain...
I "may" have found the A/C Gremlin.
Those whom have installed the Upgraded charging system I was selling,
and the several systems that made it to GL buyers as well, if your
following, take notice.
I happened to look at the new regulator to view the Diagnostic LEDs, they were DEAD.
You...
I keep reading and I am questioning a few things related to that av8or.
I do not remember seeing a scale when refrigerant was added. ( I installed
the system and paid a local shop to charge it) I am still trying to learn
how to do this stuff. I am threating on buying gauge sets, scales, leak...
I am having an issue with the A/C in my M916.
The symptoms are the A/C works intermittently, ONLY
after shutting the truck down. Sometimes the A/C works
when I restart and sometimes it does not.
The A/C will be working fine, I shut off the truck and then restart
and the A/C "can" be dead, or...
A handheld glass bead blaster will make quick work of all that
if you can get to it. A few hours, some labor, a vacuum and
some diesel approved paint and your good to go.
No need to instantly weed thru the past, but going forward it would be beneficial, FOR SURE.
As time alots, move older threads into it, easy peasie.
I would be happy to forward links to a designated mod to move into an M915 Series Only
Dedicated Forum.
Start with the " Artisan's M916 "...
The SCMVCC has a member named Ray Del Pino , 626-814-2196 .
He is an elderly gent, I BETYA he can help you. No matter what he says
please try to find a way to compensate the man for his efforts and if you
hire him for something, he NEVER charges enough, a GENEROUS tip.... He needs...
He is a...
I'll Counter your counter with this;
You better have a big set of ballz and 1/2 brain to attempt any long drive recovery
of a fresh surplus truck of any flavor.
Myself? I walked into the challenge HEAD On and thank GOD
I won, PNW to Los Angeles in a M925A1.
I think it was about 1700 miles...
CLICK HERE to see the seats I added into my M916.
The Drivers side bolted in.
The Passenger side, well, I removed the pedestal and chopped
it down a good 2" I think it was so the PS seat woul sit at the
same height as the DS seat.
It came out BassAzz...
Stay tuned for pics...
I did exactly that, but sometimes the smalls make a BIG difference.
Case and Point; WSUCOUGARX suggested to me that I bring a towel
to fend off leaks and windshield fog, I was SO GLAD I listened. Also
knowing how to do a COLAS test was invaluable! It is flat out STUPID
to hop into an Air brake...
This would probably be best addressed whereas YOU list
what you are going to bring and "we"? might suggest what
you are lacking...
Think about that brother.
Nothing but the best for the 20Ton M915 Series!
I put dual air ride seats in my M916, lowering the
pedestal on the PS so both seats sit at the same height,
and I added speakers and a radio... :-)
The lights on top will have cages around them yes?
...and if I were doing that a way to LOCK the hood closed is a good option as well.
I am considering a hasp and lock on top, open the window, reach out and take
the lock off or put it on perhaps.
But 5 tons all have a small wire that goes direct to the
heater blower fan in 12V yes? Also my M916 uses
basically 24V for the starter and trailer lights for
the most part, the rest is all 12V
