Mark,
That's a good score. I've never seen one of the platforms loose. Of course, the inverters themselves are not easy to find either.
John,
Your's is looking real clean after the pressure washing. I can see the six vent roof, which is better than the older 12 vent type. Your roof canopy...
Well, to me it looks like we need to keep the part of an EUC vehicle that has the serial number/data plate if we are scrapping it. That way we can honestly say, "here it is", and the rest has been melted (Mutilated to prevent re-use).
I have heard a similar story from the F-4 fighter sales...
MJQ-18 is a generator trailer classified as a Power Plant. It has two MEP-003A's and a transfer switch so you can have power as long as the diesel holds out. Military rating is 10KW, but in reality they can run about 12.5 KW continuously in moderate elevations and temperatures. Figure about...
DMV computers can find KAISER and they can find JEEP. They should be able to find AM GENERAL if you tell them it's the big brother of the HUMMER H-1 (not the HMMWV).
If you're going from Gimpy's to Wreckerman's AO and you have the room, I have some field wash stations that I'd like to get fixed up well prior to the GA Rally. Supposed to be four on one pallet.
The real rock crawling is done at the VA Rally! 2000 foot rocks there (the field where we camp is about 700 feet above sea level, top of Graves Mountain is 2900 feet).
John,
Insofar as washing (Sanitation) is concerned, check out these threads > http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/80364-mkt-food-sanitation-trailer.html and http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/77737-mkt-sanitation-trailer.html for my ideas. It's not complete yet, but I am working on it.
If you get down to the Aberdeen show next month, you can probably see Frank's in operation. And, if you still want to learn stuff about the MKT, send me an USB drive with at least 3GB free and I'll load it up with information and send it back to you! Just for giggles, look at >...
I know where there are two 800 series wreckers, one is going to be scrapped. They are in the Columbia, SC area. Since neither is mine, I'll not add anything to the poll.
From Charlotte, go north on NC 49, 2.8 miles past the intersection with NC 109, turn left on Gravel Mtn Rd, go .8 miles and turn left into the farm, take the left fork just past the pond and roll up to the gate. Simple as that!
Don, we had a young lady snapping pictures all day and she told me...
Fluids will boil in the pots much faster if they are in the ovens. Local guys tried cooking spaghetti on an open burner - took them over an hour to get the water boiling. Next time, I made it, putting the 15 gallon pot inside the M-59 and using an MBU on the 12 o'clock heat setting - had a...
I had just the one box, and it was in an upstairs bedroom with some other small parts, not buried under mounds of other items in the garage. One of these days my (new to me) 20 ft trailer will be home and I can sort out all the stuff, then start shipping again.
