There are locking door handles or some have put dead bolts in the door (did a real nice job of it). I hate to say it but try a search in the deuce forum. I seem to remember alot of post on it with pic's and parts info.
TM 5-4210-213-12 covers the newer 530B fire trucks, I'm not sure which one covers the older ones. For the fire pump you should beable to call the makers of the pump for a manual for it. Waterous sent me one for my 530C. Yours sure does look better than mine.

I'm going to assume that the grease is just to keep the gasket from sticking so the next time you take it off it will not rip. So either side. I would put it on the side that tuches the hub so the gasket will stay with the axle.

The TM say 1/2". It seems to me that 9/16" has been talked about on here. I think snap-on and some other make square sockets for drain plugs. They may fit better than a wrench.
Thanks, the M197A1 seems too have the same brakes. I printed off the pages from both TM's and the parts all seem to be the same. So now at last I have a pic to go with the part numbers.
