Can you post pictures? Without seeing it or referring to the appropriate TM’s, my guess is that those pins and brackets are either for something optional that certain vehicles would carry; there was a MWO adding or removing them; or, someone simply decided to remove them.
I like the concept and versatile platform. I just don’t think it’s as scaled down as it could be. Too much personal gear and extraneous crap. These aren’t like a vehicle designed to carry enough supplies for for extended missions. These are “get in & get out” vehicles. I’d rather see them...
Agreed. But this Copeland guy seems to be a problem also. And Copeland can run interference with customers for the yard guys meaning no changes happen. Sounds like this issue isn’t isolated and needs escalated to a higher level manager.
Hey, I’m with you. The level of customer service should not be based on the amount of money someone spends. Unless they specifically go and look, those yard guys have no idea what we pay for stuff.
Exactly; you caught on pretty quick. It doesn’t matter how many dollars are dropped at RB/GP/IP ….. unless it’s quite a substantial amount. A BIG spender buyer may get some special treatment, but not us little guys. I’ve found extraordinary customer service to be more about relationship...
Sometimes when I want one or two items it comes on a skid or pallet box with lots of other stuff. I only resell the stuff that I don’t need. It’s not a job for me and it’s not for the money. Sometimes I’ll go after something that I feel I can resell or it’s bulk of an item that many FMTV...
So Copeland works more at the “corporate level”. I buy from PA, MD, and NV. Each location has its own managers. In PA for example, they have a warehouse & a yard; each is managed by a different person.
I don’t know how your location (s) are set up. I haven’t had an issue with the yard I use...
Did you use a floor Jack or transmission Jack to get that rascal up to the frame rail?
The winch cable can be routed / rerouted out the front or back, as needed?
We live in rural NYS. Our electric infrastructure is woefully outdated and is dire in need of immediate repairs. Luckily, my house rarely loses power. Still, a partial systems generator or a whole house generator would be a wise investment. No natural gas so it’s either gas, diesel, or...
I’d like to nominate @TomTime . He has invested a LOT of time researching parts and maintenance processes to ensure he does things properly. He does top-shelf work and his beautiful truck is proof of that!
Gosh, I suggest we start nominating a poor bloke who has been steadfast in trying to keep his MV in tip-top shape or has struggled to get their rig roadworthy!
It would be cool if the nominated vehicles are pictured with the owner(s) and those who have helped resurrect it. Of course, their...
Smart idea! These kinds of things end up getting lost over time so saving them in a central location is the way to go.
I have a scanner and can try & get them uploaded later. I’ve tried uploading docs before without success though. I will need help on where in the forum they should be...
Photos of the schematics and part #’s. No where in the TM did it mention relocating the axle vent T fitting.
There is a right & left spacer for the new rear main cross member support. They slid in without difficulty.
Unless you have large washer type shim stock getting the 0.003 - 0.017”...
Rarely has anything been resolved by playing whack-A-mole. I don’t beat on anything that I don’t want to destroy or that’s a solid chunk of something I’m trying to remove.
