It's stuff like this that makes me impressed at the ingenuity of the Army... capable of establishing/designing/building (knowing need to be built) such capabilities/uniqueness. We literally, for decades, had the ability to just roll up, stop, and set up shop, even more so than today in some...
DRMO (aka DLA Disposition Services) requires all items to be drained of any and all HAZMAT. Well, supposed to be. Sometimes you see this very violently (IE punching the oil pan) or very conservatively... or forgotten. I know Bragg did require it last time I turned stuff in, but that has...
Military does it. It's standard on everything. from HMMWVs to Abrams... and yes, there's an Abrams Chock Block. I know I keep a set with my Jeep as the parking brake barely holds.

Well crap, I never had to go into the axles, just replacement tires/rims, guess I didn't look close enough. I know the A4 PLS we were fielded had a different setup but that's all I recall, guess I should have paid closer attention. Thanks!
Ok, here's part of the deal with amber beacon lights on the FMTVs, non-wrecker variants.
This is called the RAWLS, Rotating Amber Warning Light System... it's a Republic of Korea (South Korea) requirement for the large vehicles, that and the fisheye mirror that you see sometimes. The RAWLS...
The Tag is a standard RFID Shipping device the Army uses. It should snap out of the bracket, there should be a 3v lithium ion battery in it, dispose of the battery and there should be a mailing/shipping address on the back, drop it in a mail box. I have a few that I have used for a while to...
