you might also try some timing advance my na motor was turned p a half turn and advanced 1/8 inch over static timing ran strong and would start after sitting all night at -20
I will find I have to extend the rear of my frame to I do plan on proper procedures. as stated sometimes upfitters need to add on to the rear of the frames or extend them that is where proper procedures and fish plating comes in to play.
mine had the same problem there is a 6 relay pack behind the panel under the fuse relay box mine was missing likely no power to the tcm. one of those relays would have to power up the tcm try relay pack replacement
the tires are like loader tires they have a ton of surface area they make studs for loader tires im thinking of getting a second set of tires just to load them with loader studs for winter. that or chains
the 700 r4 trannys just had 3 holes if I had to guess they used the th400 flexplate which might balance different than the 700 r4 if you have a gen 1 6.2 diesel you might find it hard to find a flexplate for the 700 r4 seems like I thought about this once in the past.
one caution to you all resistance in they gm glow plug system is critical you need to have all plugs functioning or problems will arise if yu have one of the new control boxes the light flickers if you have the old system the plugs will swell up and will be hard to remove from the head.
with cat e-t you can do a cylinder drop test you will be dollars ahead to replace all 6 or chasing bad injectors will be a never ending battle before replacing them take an oil sample if you have high concentrations of metal than replace the hui pump and flush the oil gallies those engines were...
sounds like bad injectors on the 3126 you pop the old ones out and install the new ones the newer c-7 cats you need a cat program to set trim codes for new injectors
why not get a 24 v motor the reason the military and cat use 24 volt systems is it takes less amps to do the same amount of work the trade off for the higher price would be more work before you overheat the motor ,
we will see I may make a few more trips t seattle to get a head start on building. it there wont be any driving it here where I'm at access is only by plane or boat I cant afford the charter rate on a hurc to get it here so its going to sit in seattle till spring shipping season if I find time...
